Shan George, Ben Bruce in cold war

With the recent Facebook post of Shan George, no one needs to be told that the star actress need urgent reaction to get the president of Silverbird Group, Ben Bruce, off  her bad men list. And for the controversial screen beau to have decided to take her grievance to one of the most visited social networks, something is undoubtedly wrong somewhere and Shan is pained.
Shan’s comment that has become a topic of discussion among her fans, friends and stakeholders read, “I don’t understand why Ben Bruce would put a rule that if you don’t premier your mmovie at Silverbird Galleria, the movie would not be shown in Silverbird cinema. My question is that all the fforeign movies being shown at d SilverBird cinema, how many HHollywood producers have come to premier their movie at the Silverbird Galleria?,” she asked.
While some people understood Ben Bruce business approach with the alleged rule, the yet to be confirmed idea was condemned by many who took up the matter from Shan’s perspective.
Although, SS is still awaiting the response of the management of Silverbird cinemas, is anything wrong if it is true that Ben Bruce gave such directive?

Sam Loco’s death: How Genevieve, Esse Agesse, others goofed

Despite the fact that it was with heavy heart most movie buffs re-broadcasted news of the death of veteran actor, Sam Loco Efe, through their Black Berry, Facebook, Twitter and other online social networks, the sad news actually ignited confusion before it was finally confirmed.
While some colleagues held their brief when the news filtered to the internet, Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic, Esse Agesse, Stella Damasus led other showbiz icons, who quickly took over the twitter and Facebook to express their shock over Sam Loco’s death.
The situation took a dramatic turn when speculations rifled that Sam Loco was still alive, and twinkle of an eye, our screen goddess went back online to eat their words. And the most interesting ones were that of Genevieve Nnaji and Esse Agesse.
“This is the first time I have tweeted about a passing away and it will be the last. I am so sorry for spreading false news and my greatest apology to Uncle Sam. But that was how heartbroken I was,” Geneveive tweeted.
For Esse Agesse, her facebook post read, “Information getting to me says that Sam Loco Efe is alive. He suffered from heart attack on location earlier today in Imo State; he’s gradually recuperating in hospital in Owerri, pass around the message.”
Quite ridiculous but the question begging for answer is that did Genevieve Nnaji, Esse Agesse, Rita Dominic, Stella Damasus and the rest, who got the news twisted, not with the contact of any right source to confirm the news before go online?

Funke aknidele, Mercy Aigbe clash over movie concept

They are colleagues but not best of friends. And it undoubted that Funke and Mercy are two of the shining actresses, who have won the loyalty large number of Yoruba home video buffs. Interestingly, if the lamentations of the close allies of Funke are anything to go by, then, another supremacy battle is rearing its ugly head.
The brewing cold war between Mercy and Funke is said to be not unconnected to Mercy’s new movie titled ‘Osas’. Tongues are wagging that the story of ‘Osas’ was told almost in the same line with ‘Jenifer’, Funke Akindele’s popular movie that sold thousands of copies when it was released few years ago.
It would also be recall that ‘Jenifer’ was the flick that shifted the position of Funke Akindele in the rank of Nigerian hottest actresses and ‘Return of Jenifer, the extended version of the movie, is set to be premiered any moment from now.
While some close aides of Funke are said to be accusing Mercy of stealing the story idea, loyal allies of Mercy were gathered to have not found the allegation funny at all. “It’s not possible, ‘Osas’ has better storyline when compare to Jenifer, though, both flicks have same director, I think the messages are different,”  an insider claimed.
As neither Funke nor Mercy is ready to comment on the issue, Jenifer and Osas have story lines wrap around a local girl, who is trying to belong in the circle of big girls.
