Genevieve’s unknown daughter stirs controversy

If it is not one of such cases of striking resemblance, then the veil on the daughter of the shining star actress, Genevieve Nnaji, might have been finally blown off by now. Because it is no longer news that the identity of Genevieve’s daughter is a mystery, which many people, including the numerous fans of the sexy screen beau have been battling to unravel.

It is quite interesting when this picture found it ways on the internet last week, and not until the sexy star actress twitted that the belle in the picture is a fan, many have concluded that the girl is her daughter.

Although, few people were left with option of calculating the age of the lady in question, going with the fact that Genevieve had her baby when she was seventeen years old. More over her daughter should be eighteen by now, since Genevieve clocked 32 penultimate weekends. The result, which turned to a topic of debate until Genevieve cleared the air that pretty girl is not her child.

Who is the father of Genevieve’s daughter, is another question that may wait for many years to be answered. Once bitten twice shy probably explains the reason why Gene has been shielding her grown up child from the prying eyes of the public, most especially, men. If you may recall, Genevieve was put in family way at the age of 17.

While sultry actress has confirmed that the lady is not her daughter, those in the know still believe that there is more to Genevieve’s decision to keep the identity of her daughter.

Big Brother sent Lotus home!

Big Brother Amplified has confirmed that housemate Lotus Kyamba has been evicted from the series today (Friday May 20, 2011). This is in response to the Tanzanian contravention of the Big Brother rule against violence earlier in the day during an argument with Luclay.

M-Net and series producers Endemol wish to re-iterate that violence will not be tolerated in the series and this message has been communicated once again to all the housemates.

May7ven returns in Number

Described as one of the best female dancers in the music industry, after dominating the European and African music charts, singer cum songwriter Yemisi Odegbami but better known as May7ven, is back with another infectious dance track titled Number.  The new song from the pretty daughter of the Nigerian football star, Segun Odegbami, was released in Nigeria last Saturday May 7, her birthday.

Excellent vocal delivery that is combined with a heavy beat and incredible hook, Nigeria born, UK Based May7ven’s strong attitude flows throughout the much anticipated single, Number, which she describes as an empowering track for females who know exactly what they want.

Ever since Hands Up and Take Off My clothes, her last two singles that top UK MTV TOP 10 music chart, the sexy diva, who survived a ghastly auto crash a couple of months ago,  has been rocking the international stages performing to thousands of people. May7ven has also been sharing the stage with the likes of Akon, Mary J, Sean Paul, the Jacksons among other world's biggest artistes on tour.

 May7ven, who has her sights on the US market has included a bonus track titled Can't do without you, which is strictly for her pop fans, who love to see her dance. However, in March 2011, the crowned first female Nigerian Pop Star and Queen of 'AfrnB'  landed a deal on Malta Guinness Street Dance Africa Season 4, the biggest dance reality TV show in Africa and then own a radio show on City 105.1 FM. She will be launching her much anticipated album before the year runs out.

Talking about the ghastly car accident that happened early this year, May7ven says, "God hasn't finished with me yet, I am more determined than ever to take my music and style to heights never seen before.”

Entervaganza gathered that Number would be released in the UK Charts on June 7 and July 3 is been scheduled for the international release while the video is due for TV stations globally very soon.

Reason why Terry G quit Now Musik uncovered!

While some people thought that the self-acclaimed Mr. Bling bling, Terry G, has got a management team in Now Musik, who will refine his controversial personality, the once sweet working relationship between the two has gone sour.

Although, the Free Madness crooner and Efe Omorogbe’s Now Musik are still carrying on as if nothing has changed, SS can now authoritatively reveal that the memorandum of understanding between the two has been torn.

However, it is quite interesting to know that despite Now Musik’s silence on Terry G’s departure from the label, different speculations have begun to run rife on the entertainment scene.

While a few people claimed that Terry’s sudden exit from Now Musik might be connected to the conflicting ideas in the rebranding process for Terry G as an artiste, some have gone to town running their mouths that it was a matter related to money that tore them apart.

On the contrary, an inside source has hinted SS that the disagreement on the proposed one thousand naira as selling price for Terry G’s forthcoming album, is the real reason why the House of Ginger boss have to call it quit with Now Musik.

Terry was learnt to have preferred his new CD to be sold for one hundred and fifty naira (150), since he believes that it is the ‘street’   that patronises him the more and selling for a thousand naira would set him against the ‘street’ that made him.

“Terry couldn’t buy the idea of Now Musik selling his CD for a thousand naira like they did for Tuface because he believes that his CDs sell more among the youths, who cannot afford the higher price. And that is the main reason why he parted ways with Now Musik,” says an insider.

The untold story of Kanye West, D’banj and Don Jazzy alliance

It was more of a rumour when it came to the fore that Koko Master, D’banj, was hitting the vocal booth with Snoop Doggy Dog, for the re-mix version of the former hit single titled Mr. Endowed. But the appearance of the musical video of the song on the air-waves a couple of months ago has sealed the lips of doubting Thomases. Interestingly, as the visual of Mr Endowed remix continues topping the Africa’s music chart all over the world, D’banj’s musical collabo with Snoop Dogg was seen as a magic in his quest for international recognition when the news filtered in that another world’s biggest music act, Kanye West, has shown interest in him and Don Jazzy.

Different tales were fed concerning how D’banj and Don Jazzy lured Kanye into the musical deal but the popular news making the rounds then has it that the trio met at the first class lounge of one of the  airports abroad.

D’banj was said to have given Kanye a CD that contained some of his hit tracks, an open arm of friendship, which some birds in the know believed facilitated the proposed musical collabo between the trio. In addition, Kanye West was actually rumoured to have fallen in love with the rhymes and rhythms of the Koko Master after listening to the songs.

However, there is a new twist to the gist bandied about D’banj, Don Jazzy and Kanye West musical collaboration.

SS has reliably gathered that one of the super models, who danced in Ki’mon, one of D’banj’s old hits, was the link between Kanye, Don Jazzy and D’banj.

SS scooped that after the successful lyrical duet with Snoop, the pretty belle, who is alleged to have dated Kanye West, offered to assist D’banj in securing a collabo with the reigning rap music star.

The rest is now history as they say.  While most music lovers are waiting in anticipation for the musical collaboration between Kanye and D’banj, SS has reliably gathered that Don Jazzy has produced beats for two of the songs in the much talked about forthcoming joint album of Kanye West and Jay-Z.  Kanye was even learnt to have twitted D’banj, inviting him and Don Jazzy to New York for the final part of the project.
