If it’s true that bird of the same feather flocks together, then the crazy and wild lifestyle are probably what  made the two singers turned actresses, Cossy Orjiakor and Lindsey Lynda Raphael a.k.a  D’Bling, best of friends. 

Consequently, Cossy and D’bling mutual relationship of many years have sparked up speculations that probably they are gay partners. Although, same sex relationship has become an in-thing in the western world, it is an act that is been frowned at this part of the world.

“Me? Cossy’s gay partner? I’m married and born again Christian!” shouted D’bling when reacting to the rumour milling around when contacted on phone.

Since there is no smoke without fire, we probed further to found out the genesis of the gist “To be sincere Cossy is my good friend and she was even my chief bridesmaid during my wedding. We are not gay partners but what I can tell you is that, Cossy is my breast-friend (Laughs). I am in love with her boobs, which best explains why I fondle with it whenever we are clubbing or attend parties together. Moreover, I think the way I used to play with her in clubs and parties is the reason people are insinuating we are lesbians. Although, I may be crazy in my style too, I am married and thank God I have husband who understand me and supportive of what I am doing,” D’Bling revealed.

In her part, the controvesial boobs queen, Cossy, explodes, “I think you should askD’Bling’s husband if she is my gay partner, mind you I do guys not girls.” 

Kween shifts date of album listening party.

Plans are in top gear as the ‘Jebele’ Kween sets to premier her maiden album titled ‘KWEENDONCOM’. The album listening party which was earlier scheduled for July has now being put forward to August 6, 2011 at The Place on Isaac John street, G.R.A Ikeja, Lagos.

The nine(9) tracked album would include among other tracks Jebele, Kadara, and Jowo Biko- a track from off the ‘Love Drunk Compilation’ soon to be released. Also, her re-mix of Onyeka Onwenu’s  ‘Iyi ogogo’ is also included in the album.

Already the gorgeous musician is getting support from hench men in the entertainment industry. Having re-branded her music and persona, she is sure back with a bang.

Just recently she shoot a new video titled ‘Playa’ which was directed by Clarence Peters and produced by Wale Oni. The vigor and energy of the Playa video shows her readiness to take back her space, little wonder, her album title-‘KweenDonCom’.

According to her, “I took a leave off the music scene to take care of other very important issues which would have been a distraction had they not been given early attention. With that out of the way, I’m back and better”.

The mother of two(2) is definitely back, however, this time looking better than ever.

At last, Lady Di relocates from Lagos

Decision of Lady Diane, the wife of royal punkness, Charly Boy, to remain in Lagos after her husband relocated to Abuja a couple of years ago, actually fuelled the rumour being bandied about last year  that probably her marriage was heading for the rocks.  And then, many people were also wondering why Charly boy always lodged in hotel whenever he came to Lagos.

While the alleged crack in Lady Di’s home had been laid to rest, SS can now reveal authoritatively that the area Mama has finally relocated to Abuja.  Not only has Lady Di moved, she also shifted the base of Taakra, her arts and crafts learning centre to the Federal Capital Territory.

SS reliably gathered that Lady Di’s choice of Abuja was made after much consideration of a better place to run her own thing and the capital city was chosen ahead of 36 states as the new designated spot for Taakra participants and administrative office.   

Although, why it took Lady Di this long to join her husband in his Abuja punk palace is now question begging for answer, what becomes of her husband’s house in Lagos is another puzzle waiting to be unravelled.

Attempt to save Chika Ike alleged crashed marriage fails

While the pretty actress, Chike Ike is still maintaining sealed lips over the rumour milling about town that her marriage has crashed like a badly arranged pack of cards, those in the know about the troubled union claimed to have seen it coming.

As it makes no news that the estranged couple are living separately, a nosey bird chirped it into the ears of SS that moves by some concerned family members of husband and wife to wade into the storm rocking the marriage had failed.

 While the husband’s family were alleged to have initiated the move, Chike’s clan was said to have botched the peace meeting on the ground that there was nothing to talk about.

According to SS’ source, “Chika’s family claimed that the marriage was still intact and that it was left for the husband to open up if there was any problem.” Interestingly, neither Chika nor her husband, who is said to be out of town, has opened up on the alleged crisis rocking their marriage. However, like a blind man who also knows when the rains fall, that Chika’s marriage is in troubled waters is known to close allies of husband and wife.

Efforts to get the reaction of the popular actress, who came into  the country a few days ago after weeks away, on the latest development, proved abortive, as Chika neither answered her calls nor replied the short text messages sent to her.

However, the husband is still keeping mum over the matter. He has also not responded to the allegation that he had put his mistress in the family way.

Beverly Naya denies dating Desmond Elliot

Not many movie buffs are familiar with the face of the sexy aspiring star actress, Beverly Naya, not until her seductive scene in a movie titled ‘Home in Exile’, gave her the much needed recognition.

Although, it’s now over two years that the film was shot, some rumour mongers had hit the street claiming that Beverly and Desmond actually took the make believe romance beyond the scene.

You will recall that when ‘Home in Exile’, was premiered  last year, Beverly’s steaming kiss with star actor, Desmond Elliot, in the flick that was produced by Lancelot Imasuen,  was feasted on by some sections of the media.

While Beverly had actually dispelled the alleged romance with Desmond, her growing fame has been attributed to the reason why some people have poked into the past of the City People’s Fastest Rising Actress award winner.

 Reacting to the rumour that is now been discussed in hushed tone, the bold, brainy screen beau said: “The movie was shot three years ago, and how did that conclusion come about? Desmond and I were professional to the core. That would have made interesting news three years ago and realistically tongues shouldn’t wag now because nothing ever happened.”

However, Desmond could not be reached as at the time of going to the press, one of his close aides, who pled anonymity, told SS that the story is an imagination of those who want to break Desmond’s marriage.

Kween mourns Christy Essiens - "It's a Shock"

The Jebele minstrel Kween, whose news of an album release is currently making rounds is heartbroken over the passing away of The Lady of Songs-Christy Essien Igbokwe. According to her “I got the news from Zakki on my BB. It came as a rude shock”.

Kween was particularly shocked as she had plans of Christy Essein making special appearance, alongside The Great Stallion- Onyeka Onwenu, at her maiden album listening party. The party scheduled for July 23, 2011 at The Place on Isaac John Street, GRA, Ikeja was to herald her KweenDonCome album.

“I loved and admired her, grew up listening to her music especially seun rere, an all time classic indeed.  She had a unique voice and persona I admired, being one of my prime mentors in music”.

Kween believes that irrespective of how music is done today, Christy Essien-Igbokwe’s generation of musicians were to a large extent an inspiration. Sadly, she said “I only wished she stayed longer for the industry to celebrate her. It’s sad”.

KweenDonCome will feature a re-mix of Onyeka Onwenu’s Iyi Ogogo, as well as the inclusion of her previous hit single Jebele. Other tracks from off the album include kadara, J’owo Biko and Playa.
