D'banj Vs Don Jazzy: Who is winning?

That their separation will hunt them for a while is like stating the obvious. Not only that music enthusiasts have missed D'banj's popular intro, "It's Don Jazzy again", the era of Don Jazzy whispering into D'banj’s ear on stage, is gone!

However, as 2012 rolls to an end, the question of who is more favoured by the separation is on the lips of loyal fans and friends of once upon a time best of friends. With MAVIN, Don Jazzy's new record label, recorded mini successes (I stand to be corrected) and released singles of most of the artistes ( Tiwa Savage, Wande Coal, Dr. SID and D’Prince) on the label are not only undergoing media review; the songs are getting heavy rotation on the airwaves.  Don Baba J, who won one or two awards this year had couple of brand endorsement and also float a Nite Club. No doubt, 2012 is a good year for Don Jazzy.

For D'banj, it's unarguable that 'Koko Master', is getting the needed international exposure with his hit track, 'Oliver Twist' sold over 15 million copies worldwide (Sonny Music report), and the song also spent weeks on most world's popular music charts. Tongolo crooner, won couple of International awards, got brand endorsements, performed at big concerts, launched a nightclub named 'One Eleven' among other achievements. Moreover, unlike D'banj of Mo' Hits Records, 'Eja Nla' as he's now fondly called, had couple of successful music collaborations that confirmed his dominance in Africa/ Nigeria music scene. While ‘Mr Endowed’ new singles (Oyato, Bachelor, On Top Of the Wold among others) are enjoying massive airplay, those who have good listen ears affirmed that D'banj has improved in his delivery. What a beautiful year for the Koko Master, who has moved on with his own record label.

Anyway, with proper digestion of my brief analysis and a battle of a music producer and artiste, who do you think is winning?
