Alleged threat to life: Jide Kosoko tackles Asaolu

When the followers of Association of Nigerian Theatre Practitioners (ANTP), the umbrella body of the Yoruba movie industry, are thinking that the crisis rocking the union is getting to an end, the unending feud in the body reared its ugly head few days ago when Victor Asaolu, the self acclaimed National President of ANTP raised the alarm that some top members of the association were planning to kill him.
In the SOS letter written by Ashaolu and copied to all Nigerian security operatives, most especially the Police Command  in all states where ANTP exists, he fingered Jide Kosoko, Dele Odule, Abdulrasaq Adewale, Ayobami Olabiyi (Bobo B), Akeem Alimi (Jalingo) among others as those behind the plot.
While SS was informed that Odule, Sokoti, and Bobo B had been invited and interrogated by the police, it was a different ball game when SS called Jide Koso on phone to get his reaction on the matter.
“Why would I be planning to kill him? We are not on the same level and I would rather say that it is Ashaolu who is planning to kill some people, because how can more than a hundred people be planning to kill one person? He’s jobless and a confusionist. I am not supposed to talk on this issue because we are in court. He held a kangaroo election to proclaim himself as ANTP president and the matter is still pending in court. He’s confused,”he fumed.
