Late Adebukola |
Death is inevitable and it is a wages of sin as they say. Interestingly, when death strikes incessantly, it left many people with the notion that probably something is wrong somewhere. This best explains the current situation at Ikosi in Ketu, Lagos based Continental Broadcasting Station, owners of Radio and TV continental, where death is scoop to have dealt the stations blows severally.
While family, friends and colleagues are still mourning the sudden demise of Adebukola Ore, the newscasters on business desk of CBS, AWL reliably gathered that the Adebukola’s death will be the third in space of three months, and three staff were alleged to have died at the tail end of last year.
“Yes people dies and so what? I don’t know why people make issues out of nothing, ours is not exceptional, lots of speculations rented the air when MITV and AIT faced the same challenges of continuous deaths and inferno,” said an inside source who pled anonymity.
Moreover, as AWL learnt that staff of the two sister stations are turning in their resignation letters en masse, many people blame deaths in the media on stress and nonchalant attitude to regular medical check-up.
While AWL continues its investigation on other matters facing Radio and TV continental, may the soul of departed ones continue to rest in peace.
