How Tope Alabi quit acting...... Pastor Ajanaku’s connection

Talk about the very sweetest voices that are synonymous with the Yoruba home video sound tracks, Evangelist Tope Alabi, the ace gospel music sensation, will obviously lead while others follow.
No doubt, the sonorous voiced songstress has stamped her authority in the entertainment scene but most people did not know that she started out as an actress with a few movies to her credit.

Her quest to succeed in life and possibly find a true love landed the fair-skinned gospel singer in the arms of Lekan, the popular music and movie marketer otherwise known as Olaoye Ventures, whom she dated for some years.

Tope Alabi’s affair with Olaoye Ventures
Pastor Ajanaku
was said to have marked the beginning of her many hurdles in life, as she was left heart-broken when a lady simply known as Bunmi frustrated her out of the relationship.

Apart from losing her first love, she was said to have been involved in a ghastly motor accident that almost claimed one of her legs. It was in this situation that God pitied her, anointed her voice and showered her with uncommon favour.
While the success of her debut album titled Oore Tio Common (Uncommon Favour) launched her into the gospel music industry, one or two soundtracks in movies gave her fame in the Yoruba home videos.

Tope Alabi became a household name and eventually got married. But her problem continued as her marriage remained fruitless after some years. It was during one of the churches’ crusades where she went to perform that she encountered Pastor Ireti Ajanaku, the general overseer of Christ Revival Victory Chapel International.
The man of God was said to have fallen in love with her music and he invited her to one of his church events. During her performance, Ajanaku was said to have sensed sorrow in her voice.
“I was moved to tears with her indirect lamentation of childlessness and persistent misfortune. After the event, I told her with authority that God is going to bless her with a child before our next event. True to God’s promise, I was informed a few weeks to our annual church event that she was heavily pregnant and due for delivery.
She eventually gave birth to her first child, came for the event and the weakness that heralded her arrival was transformed to strength as she performed all night,” Ajanaku revealed during a chat with us.
