“If it's about music, it's about my language; it's about me – this self-expression. No genre is too much or too little to express myself… “--- These are the words of the London born act, “Al’Chaddas”, who resides in J-town.
Alfred Ogbonna, born on the 1st of October 1990 is a Nigerian act recording under the stage name Al'Chaddas. “Chaddas” happens to be a high school nickname and “Al” was copped from his birth-name, and thus brings about the fusion. Al’Chaddas was born in London, but raised in Nigeria [Jos] and still lives in Jos at the moment.
“Al'Chaddas”, who brought us the tunes “Go”, on which he laced with yungL & Terry tha Rapman and also “Castle Walls”, a T.I Cover – has been on this piece of his – “ALcyclopedia___TheMIXTAPE” – his first debut mix-tape album since he started his music career, 5 - 6 years ago. He's been doing this alongside members from a crew he put together by name “Cheezville”.
Starting this year in January, “Al’Chaddas” decided to drop off singles from the much anticipated “ALcyclopedia” mix-tape and he successfully dropped 3 singles up until now. He started off with “Freddie E”, then he dropped “Castle Walls” and just recently, he dropped “Hear Me Now”.
Finally, the much talked about “ALcyclopedia” mix-tape, which has been on the lips of peeps, especially from his J-Town hommies, drops on this day [24th of March, 2012]. He lets us have a feel of it…
