With male folks reigning supreme in the Nigerian music world, little space is unarguable left for the girls to shine. While numbers of Nigerian female Deejays can be counted on finger tips, where are the babes in music production? This is a question that has been longing for answer.

However, as music critics await the emergence of that first Naija’s finest babe on music console, DJSOUPAMODEL has shown up. To some the brainy belle, born Aderonke “Kehinde” Olatunde, is the first female DJ from the African continent. DJSOUPAMODEL as she’s popularly known, is being rated as the best female producer, making a staggering impact in today’s music production scene.
The Osun State descendant but Washington DC, U.S, based music producer cum DJ is reputed to be the definition of talent, creativity, consistency and catchy personality. DJSOUPAMODEL, who is currently the CEO of MusicBlvdGroup, a full blown music production company, specialises in artistes, TV, film, commercial among other facets of music production and management.
Till date, the bold and blunt babe rocking the men’s world, has worked with Wyclef, Jason Derulo, Mims, Soulja Boy, Nappyboy(T-pain), Konvict Music, DefJam, among other top showbiz icons.
Entervaganza has also gathered that 2012 is already a busy year for DJSOUPAMODEL, as she’s said to be working on materials for major artistes, films and TV in the U.S, France, the U.K and onternational Nigerian music stars.
Speaking about her style, DJSOUPAMODEL the member of CoreDJs (World’s number one coalition of influential DJS) and a DJ under Nappy- Boy (T-Pain), said: “You can’t define my sound. You’ll hear a little bit of everything with a weird twist. My production does not sound like anyone else’s and that’s my nitch.”
While her debut single titled ‘Number’ featuring Brian from Day 26 and sensational teen rapper, ‘ISSA’, would be released in a few weeks, she speaks further on her project tagged WHO IS DJSOUPAMODEL?.
“This by far has to be one of the most important projects I’ve ever had to do. It will showcase my production, writing, and composing skills.
It will also feature some of your favourite artistes out there today. This is an international project and I’ve also chosen to get a few unknown artistes with great potentials on the project but I will be very selective,” she concluded.
