Why Mariam Arewa quits CBS

Before she eventually called it quits with Continental Broadcasting Service (CBS), owners of TV and Radio Continental, Mariam Oluwakemi Arewa, was a darling of most followers of the Ikosi, Ketu, Lagos based electronic media. Her beauty and style of presentations also got her a couple of jobs with some advertising agencies.
However, until Marian resigned from CBS, she anchored entertainment programmes and news on TV and Radio Continental for three years, 2007 to 2010. Although; rumour is being peddled that there is more to her leaving than meets the eye, the pretty model cum presenter has decided to break the silence. She told AWL that she quitted TV and Radio in order to pursue her dream. “I thought it wise to take on a new challenge and for that to happen I had to leave CBS and establish Biz Connect, my own outfit which I formed with a group of friends,” she said. She further explained that the motive behind the initiative is primarily to help small and media scale business reach out to their target audience through adequate coverage and broadcast of the product. Mariam capped it that her resignation wasn’t due to frustration from the management of CBS but she had to follow her passion of owing a TV content. Mariam’s Biz Connect is due for LTV 8 and other TV stations soon
